How The Procedure Of Breast Reduction Anchorage Goes

By Karina Frost

Now there are times when a woman would want to reduce the size of her breasts because they can actually be too big. Now if one would actually go through with this process, she would have excess tissues removed from her breasts so that they will become smaller. So for those who are interested in going through with the procedure of breast reduction Anchorage, here is how the process would go.

Before one will be going through with the operation, the doctors will first prepare the patient. Now to start, the doctor and the nurses will be performing tests on the patient to see if she can actually be able to go through with it. Of course the doctor will also tell her that she must fast for six hours before the operation.

Now when the doctor already briefed the patient, the patient will then decide how much reducing she would want. From there, she would be telling the doctor how much fat she would want taken from her breasts. Now once that is already done, then the doctor will mark the areas that will taken out.

Now after the preparation, then the actual operation will actually be able to take place. Now do take note that the whole operation may take up to around two to three hours depending on how much the surgeons would be doing. From here, the fat will be removed from the lower part of the breast and the nipple will be pushed higher.

Of course this will actually leave a wound on the area where the excess fat was once. In order to cover it up, the doctors would stitch it up so that the newly operated breasts will stay in place. Once the operation is done, then the patient is brought to a recovery room to rest and recover.

Now although in general, patients can be discharged after recovering for a few hours but they may also opt to stay a night or two if she would want. Now one of the things that would happen during the recovery stage is that the wounds will hurt. It is because of this that one will be taking painkillers regularly and be wearing a special support bra.

Now one of the things to take note of is that the breasts will definitely ache for a week or two. She should make sure that she does not do any strenuous activity in the healing period otherwise the stitch might actually break and get infected. So she should relax for the next few days until everything is back to normal.

Now just to give people an estimate, after fourteen days or two weeks, one can actually go back to work already. However, she should still refrain from any strenuous work or lifting of heavy things. After another two or three weeks, she will be back to normal and she can resume everything that she used to do before.
